  • Good questions invadercow,

For your first question, I would rank for the plural version of the word. Generally in SERP’s, plural keywords can rank for the singular version and the plural version. They also tend to be more valuable based on searcher intent. Here is some more information on that subject,

Singular and Plural Keywords Are Not Always the Same for SEO

For your second question, I would select as many keywords that are both relevant to your efforts and have decent search volume. You will also want words that are moderately competitive while still having high search volume if possible. Really the architecture of your site will determine how many you can use because you should be using one page for each keyword you use. Use the best ones until you run out. Note that you should not be using keywords on contact us, about us, or home pages unless most of the content on those pages is about the keyword.

Here is some more info on long tail KW,

Unfortunately I cannot be of much assistance on your third question. I can tell you however that many online businesses have benefitted from using some form of drop shipping or fulfillment company in order to forego the costs of inventory management. Something you might want to think about if you are only to have the online store.

    Hope that helps,

Thanks for the quick response! I should only use one keyword per page and not on certain pages? Never heard of that, but I'm not doubting you. I haven't started learning much about actually getting my site placed on google.. Do you recommend any resources for that? Not an SEO service, but a learning service?

Also, when I'm comparing the longtail volume for my 6 niches to decide which is best, do you think it'd be good to just pick out the top 10 long tail keywords for each niche, and compare which gets the most total searches? Or do you think there might be a better way to do it. Reading over those links now, thanks!
