VERY NEWBIE :) - SEO for MAC, which one?

Hi guys,

This is my first post. I have to admit, it's hard for me to start IM. I've been already looked over 3 training courses in 2 weeks, I am not sleeping, 10-12 hours in front of the computer, and overwhelmed with the information. Already 7 am here in Hungary, Central-Europe and still searching for SEO alternatives...

My first question would be, is it still possible to make those $10.000/month success stories I read about? Or the market is getting harder nowadays?

Back to the topic:
1. I am doing right now the Affiloblueprint 3.0 training, and I am at the 1 step, niche market research... I want to start with the "work from home-work while traveling" niche, but I use a Mac and even with Windows plugins I cannot use the recommended Traffic Travis (I tried Crossover also), so for 5 hours I try to install it, but there are always problems with all the emulators, so I gave up... I saw it is an easy software to see the competitor levels, and I want to follow the steps of the training. Are there any not too expensive MAC alternatives? I know many of you recommend Google Keyword Tool but it just too hard for me as a total newbie to understand, and its good to see the videos step-by-step...

I was looking at Long Tail Pro, looked all the trainings, but its expensive "now" for me and I want to see if I can make even $50 with my effort to be ready to invest into high-quality products. Or shall I think the other way around?

Thank You,
Waiting for your replies,
Gabor

Traffic Travis is for keyword research.

Keyword research is important, arguably the most important, but it is not something that should be holding you back for so long just because you don't have that particular software. Especially if you're a beginner trying to make your first site and see if this stuff really works.

Seeing that you want to try and see if you can make your first $50, I'll assume this is your first site. Use someone else's PC for Traffic Travis, or just go to Google and type
"SEO How to do keyword research"
    or
"How to Use Google Keyword Tool

Once you find a keyword your comfortable with build a site and get to work on the other things in the course. As a beginner, there are a LOT of other things you have to learn. Finding a good keyword is only the beginning. Important, but if it's your first site, it's a good idea to just get going with it because you're going to make a lot of mistakes.

If you're short on money and you basically want to see if you can successfully implement what you learnt, then build a free site from Blogger.
