I am very new to internet marketing, and i am about to write my first article and need to find some keywords for my niche.

- i hear you can use Google Keyword Tool , but at the same time i heard it is very time consuming.

- should i invest in a keyword software like market samurai or Long Tail Pro, or Micro Niche Finder?.... If so which one would you all recommend. Thanks

    A couple thoughts:

    1. Using the Google Adwords keyword tool is not time consuming. You can literally identify a handful of related keyword phrases inside of 60 seconds once you know how to use it.

    2. I wouldn't worry about stuffing my articles with keyword phrases. As long as you know what your main keyword phrase focus is, just write naturally and related keyword phrases will occur on their own!

Google keyword tool is awesome. A nice method I use is pick a general niche, like weight loss. Use broad search first for this general niche. A bunch of keywords will pop up. Pick keywords that are 4 to 6 keywords long (long tail keywords). Plug those keywords back into the keyword tool search, but this time use exact search. You should find a good amount of keywords you can contemplate using for your site. Sign up for an adwords account so you can have access to 800 keywords per search instead of 100. Good Luck

    Don't buy anything at first.
Start by becoming a GENIUS at the free google keyword tool.

    Ask questions.
    Get familiar with it.
    Play with the CSV files.

    Learn to love their tool.

And then look for other paid tools after that.

Don't Invest in anything just try to learn from free tools and then when you get a grip you can go there and have that all kind of software.

But i would say that when you learn how to use Adwords then you will find that all that software are useless, believe me its my personal experience.

Hey, I'm not big on keyword research. I believe instead in writing about things people are having challenges in, in your niche. That way your traffic is better targeted, and if you write high quality content, the search engines will send you traffic even without you using keywords.

Keep in mind you can outsource your labor to save you time. You can buy researched keywords and niches, articles, etc. If you want to invest in keyword software, then I would personally use all three, then average the results.

Google keyword tool is little bit time consuming, but it's very powerful tool, don't worry, you won't feel that way as soon as you get used to it. Always use exact search to find best related long tail keyword to your niche. Always sign in first to get more result.

If you want to use the paid one, I found that Market Samurai is the best one, it's very handy and powerful. Actually I use both combination (Market Samurai and google keyword tool)

    Cheers,
    Amanda

    • Start by using Google keyword tool in order to learn the basics and understand how things work. Once you get familiar with this program and learn how to do keyword research, you will be able to decide whether you should purchase paid software or stick to Google keyword tool.
