I know about forum posting, social bookmarking, Directory submission, article marketing and blog posting. Is there anything else that you do for building links?

Nothing new The only rule is getting high quality backlinks to your site. Nowadays Web2, Guest Posting, Press Release, Blog posts etc pass authority links. You can build more backlinks to current backlinks of your site and get good result.

Couldn't agree more! Just be natural, don't create a bunch of links quickly. However, once you post to these authority sites make sure you create as many links as possible inorder to add authority. See my signature link

Agreed. Try Guest Posting its a best way of getting quality backlinks and traffic for your site as well after the Google Penguin. Also you may try blog commenting but try not to spam

Monthly press releases thru a quality submission service like prweb or prleap is really good. If you stick with it monthly, the foundation of authority links you build can be very good for your rankings.

There are no new link types if that's what your asking. Just remember high quality links will win out in the long run, building a bunch of spammy links may work for a short period of time but they will probably end up doing more harm than good.

Let me guess: a 'high-quality' link is defined as one you sell?

I don't see anything new as of today. social networking, guess posting, blog commenting and such are some of the good link building practices.
