When to start putting advertisements on website

Hi,

I have heard more than once than Google doesn´t like the fact that you put advertisement in the early stage of your website; therefore one must wait one month (or preferably a bit more) to start monetizing the site with ads. So I have two questions regarding this:

1. First of all, do you think this is actually true? Have you seen a website getting Google hostility by this "early ads" issue?

2. When we talk about Google not liking advertisement on the first month, do we mean all type of ads or just the ones from Google Adsense? I don´t know if Googlebot is so sophisticated as to been able to recognize a Clickbank or Amazon sidebanner ad as an "ad".

My website is like 2 weeks old right now but I really need to start monetizing it asap. And by the way it has 10 articles on it already.

I appreciate your help!

You can start putting advertisements on your website without penalty from Google as soon as immediately. From my experience, they will only penalize your site if they detect an overly optimized site, under optimized site or obvious automatic backlinking.

      Is that so?

The rule isn't just china and india - it says "in some countries"

Adsense chooses the 6 months rule for places where there are many problems with previous publishers. Six months should allow a publisher a chance to build a good quality website, but they don't. They leave it with two or lines of text and maybe a stolen picture or two, and 6 months later think it's fit for adsense. It's not.

Everybody thanks for your responses. I also thought this "rule" was most likely a myth but wanted to hear from others and their experiences on this. For what I see this is even less likely for Clickbank ads, which are the ones that I´m planning to use. I have never thought of putting Adsense ads in my website, I think that´s the worst monetization technique of all. Wish me luck on selling the Clickbank products

Yes..google dislike a young site that added adsense..but if your site/blog have lots of traffic i think it's ok..Add Clickbank with adsense in same site is ok I think..But many people suggest to not add adsense ads and other ppc ads like infolinks, chitika in one site..

NO. They do not penalize or affect your ranking in any way. You can put the ads from day 1. No probs.

You can put adsense ads whenever you want, the thing with the penalty is a myth. I talk from my experience!

Once you build a website you can start monetizing it. Few people say that adsense on a new domain will get a penalty, but whenever i start a new blog i put adsense on it from day 1 and never faced any issue.

If I were you I would do 2 things.
    1. Stop going to where ever you read that stuff at.
    2. Who is the "we"? The same people that gave you the other advice, refer to rule 1

As long as you have a page with content, run your Ads.

Have you ever known a restaurant to not serve customers because they didn't reach a magical number of potential customers?

If you have something to sell, sell it!

yeah I've put on adsense right away after my content is on there. Make sure that you have about 5-10 articles that are high quality...and original...and have contact page...privacy...sitemap..and you 'll be all good.

Oh and make sure articles are around specific niche.
