Google is Dumb Fool? Or I am Missing the Point?? [text contents updating but pictures are not]

Google is crawling my site frequently. Its updating all of the text contents of my site. But unfortunately its not updating pictures of the site! That is amazing!! I am updating pictures regularly though!

Old pictures and new pictures are using same alter texts. Size of the new and old pictures are same. Is that the problem? So google doesnt understand that I am updating my site with new pictures as I am using same alter texts and picture size?

    Size doesn't matter but using the same name does effect it. You could probably use the same name but add a number after it. Example : Cat Picture 1 and Cat Picture 2

    If none of your images are in the SERPs, I doubt it's Google, something isn't right on your site/pages.

      I can't even follow what you're doing, and you call google
      names? Why not look within before looking outward.

      Why would you keep changing images? For laughs?

      How do you know they are not changing them? Are you
      just viewing a cached page?

      Google really could care less about your site, although
      you think somehow google should take a personal
      interest in it.

      Why not go out and learn all you can about the
      google cache and how it works! I think you are
      a tad confused (unlike google) about how the
      cache works with text and images.

      Or, maybe after re-reading your post for the umpteenth time,
      are you just saying that google is not indexing your images?

      Well, why should google be forced to index anything you
      toss up?

      I'll give you hint about the google cache and images.
      There's a HUGE difference between crawling and storing,
      and how it relates to the cache.

        Google shows old image in its text search SERP. I am not talking about cached page. In cached page google is showing new image though. But its still showing old image in web search results. That is making me curious and also puzzled me.

        Google indexing all text contents. In cached pages its showing new image. Still now showing new image in text/web search results. How is it possible? Might be a bug?

      My old image is in SERP. But new one is not updating. almost 3 months gone. Google usually crawl my site within every 3 days. So crawlers crawled the page 30 times already. But they are ignoring the new image!

    Yes, use the different names for all the pictures.
    Also the google web search and google image search use the different algo to update their listings.
    Google web search results change very frequently but image search results take longer time to update
