commentluv and approving comments - From SEO perspective

I have two questions:

(i) Is it good to install commentluv on my site?, &

(ii) When I receive some comments which are having links to the commentator's sites, should I approve them? Is it beneficial to my site?

Please answer above questions from the point of view, whether it will increase ranking of my site.

    I've taken CommentLuv off, as I was just getting junk comments. I'm sure Google isn't a big fan of this plugin either - it's just a blog network by any other name.

    Also it's really popular in the MMO space, but it's hard to get commenters in other niches.

    Unique comments, comments are good for websites and are able to improve keyword search terms and seo... outgoing links dont take away from a websites own power.
    Websites that dont have autoaprove comments or have really difficult way to post a comment arent good because user interaction is bad and people dont bother commenting..
    -People also will come back later to see if they have any replies for their comments.
    -auto aprove comments allow people to have a discusiion
    -normal people will think your blog is broken if they cannot post a comment if it doesnt say awaiting moderation
    -people dont wait for moderation normal people wont keep on checking if their comment has been approved and want bother commenting for any other of your posts after.

      Installing Commentluv will surely help you to make good connections with other bloggers but it will also attract many spam comments.

      Links to commentator's site is not beneficial for your site.

    CommentLuv is pretty bad. It doesn't add much value at all. I suggest removing it.

    I installed this plugin on my blog a while back. But, later discontinued with it as it was producing more spam comments. I guess if you have a great content, people will naturally come and give feedback on the post. This plugin will actually help those webmaster who get their comments approved.

    But is it helpful for them who are getting backlink ? I mean who are commenting for them.
    How do Google evaluate these links to rank a site ?
    If I comment 5 on 5 blog and I have got approve, What I have gotten ? 5 Backlinks ?
