I guess everyone here already faced the "(Not set)" and "(Not provided)" in Google analytics, that's the biggest issue I ever had untill now with analytics, and that's happening now, in 2012. I've reading some articles and they were saying that's due to Google safe search, I remember last year the safe search was not activated by default, now it is.

What are we going to do now? Every keyword is hidden in Google Analytics. Is it questionable to move to another web site analytics tool?

SEO won't die in 2012, nor will it in 2013. IMers adapt, as we've done for years and years now. As far as GA goes, I still don't understand why people give Google all their site data, I don't. Use something like Reinvigorate.net it's $5/month with a coupon, and is way better in my opinion..

Other analytics tool won't help you more. The referrer data is stripped and you will not see the keywords they used to find your site. Got to love Google....

If Google is doing that, then why won't other tools help? Reffere data shows up, I can see the searches people performed, and on top of that I can see what keywords they used, and sort it by top reffers, keywords, searches, etc. Maybe you need to try some new Analytics tools. Reinvigorate does all of this..

This was a pretty ridiculous move on their part. I miss referrer data.

The referrer data is only stripped If the searcher is logged into a Google account.

Just because G hides logged in traffic searches doesn't mean anything other than volume per keyword. People not logged in will search same popular keywords as people logged in & searching, which can still be tracked.

BTW, this subject is only a year old, so technically your world ended a year ago.

Nah, my world didn't end, I noticed that last year, but back then there were more keywords in my reports, now in 2012 I'm not getting a single keyword, it's like "400 visits from Google (Not set)".

I found the solution and I'm testing it: http://econsultancy.com/br/blog/8342...ck-from-google
