Hello Members,

My site was affected by Google Penguin effect and most of keywords were gone from top to bottom. [Out of 100]. I was done so much backlinks for my site and promote in many resources like social bookmarking, directory, article, PR etc. most of SEO off page activities. After this activity my site comes in top ranking, but because of penguin my site was gone.

So i decide that, i have to remove backlinks, which was done in low pr sites, and sites which is not fruitful for my site. So is it required to remove backlinks for getting my site stable once again ? If i can do this, than is their any chances to get my site back in rank ? or any bad effect will cause my site once again after this deletion ?

Please suggest me as soon as possible.......

Thanks in Advance....

If they are from spammy, adult or scamming websites I would certainly do it however Google says you cant damage someone elses website by creating backlinks to it.

Do not waste time removing links. Instead, look at improving your link profile. Matt Woodward from www.matthewwoodward.co.uk has an excellent guide on this on his site. You need to balance out your anchor text distribution, acquire a few high pr links, lower your percentage of links on deindexed domains, and publish new content to the site. Easy 4 step method to overcome Penguin.

It's really very nice discussion on removing backlinks. As per my opinion don't waste your time in removing backlinks, just make some new with proper rules.

Check the backlink URL of your website if you see any unrelated sites then start contacting the webmasters to remove those links. It will help.

You should set backlinks in the site which is appropriate for your niche. You should remove links from unrelated sites. And most importantly place link in the site just looks like natural. Use some sentences before or after your links that looks your link normal. Place link in the homepage not every page. You can use inner pages for your links inside the post. After doing this hope your site should get back in page rank.
