Buying aged domains - how to retain aged bonus help

Hey there, I'm buying some aged domains off godaddy auctions,
I just want to make sure I'm doing it right-

So i get the winning bid the sites (and at this point its about a week until theyre available to me)-- is there anything special I need to do to retain their aged status? I heard changing the registry information or something could reset it?

      what do you mean, can you elaborate?

      also, where can you find their link profile / how many backlinks currently exist?
      -edit, does alexa.com , the links in refer to this? if so, it doesn't appear that many sites at all have many backlinks that are for sale
