Any idea of a valuation for my current site?

Sup Warrior Forum,

I currently run a Celebrity News site which is increasing in traffic daily. This month I'm estimating 40K unique visitors with 70k pageviews. Last month it was 15K unique visitors.

Every day I'm noticing more traffic, with 80% of it search related.

I don't want to do this forever though, I think I'll be selling at it some point on flippa. I estimate it to be a PR4 on the next update (have 2x PR3 sites redirected & high quality backlinks).

Should I just wait and keep letting the traffic grow? What price could I expect to get atm for it?

You talk about traffic...and that's great...but what about income?

When selling it, especially at Flippa, THAT's what people are going to want to know...you can generally expect to make 10-12times monthly earnings when you sell.

    40k visitors

If you intergrate on an CPA offer.
Which you're specially optimize your ads on it. And which the ads is paying $1.00 per lead.

So according to my calculate based on my niche sites. 40k Visitors x 40% CTR, x avg 10% to 15% CR. It would be $2000 earning per month.

I would save this site for myself until it lose value in a certain period.

The sale price of your website will be determinant by these factors i.e

    1. How much income does the site generate in a specific time period.
    2. Web traffic
    3. The age of the domain
    4. PR

  • Some buyers will take in account of the traffic as well... Even if you're not making any earnings you can still sell them for a good price!! Sure there would be hungry buyers out there!!

Yeah, if I were you, I would start converting that traffic to income. Personally, I like buying those sites because their undermonetized and I can usually get them cheap.

So, if you want to get the most out of the site, monetize it if you haven't already. Once you're income is consistent over a 6 month period of time, then you should start looking at Flippa. If you sell too early, you won't get as much.

Thing is, I'm finding it extremely hard to monetize. Nobody clicks ads due to the nature of the site. Their interested in Kristen Stewart News, not an ad related to mobile phones.. Of 5K visitors, I'll maybe get 1-2 clicks daily.

I can't really stuff ads in the content because it ruins the user experience.. Return visitors for a site of this nature is key..

Why not start a Kristin Stewart fan club. When they join they get x benefit...

To join they just give name and email. Then you send them updates about Kristin Stewart (find out how her and Robert are doing).

By joining they've just started helping you build a list. That list can be used to promote things involving her/her movies, etc.

Who are her fans? What do they like/love? What do they hate? What team were/are they on?

Can you offer any of the Twilight books through Amazon affiliate? There's one more movie, so that book should still be a good seller.

What other sites sell Twilight movie paraphernalia. Other movies she's in...

Check out Amazon for direct products you can hotlink to, posters, tshirts, books, etc.

Create an autoresponder sequence that ties all of those together.

Have a female copyriter create a series of emails that are "essential" to being a Kristin Stewart fan....

You must have the Twilight series - Buy here

You must have this new Tshirt with Jacob on it - Buy here

You must buy tickets to her new movie (check out CJ.com for movie ticket affiliates).

Basically, if you have traffic, it can be monetized. If you have that much traffic, they are passionate about her and you're doing a good job getting them there. Now, meet them the rest of the way and give them what they want!

  • If you do decide to sell it. Sell it for 12 months worth of profit. So if your making 2,000 i would sell for 24,000
