New Strategy for EMDs?

Is it a good idea to take your content off your EMDs and put it all on a single domain? Would Google see this as duplicate content? Also, is it a good idea to re-direct the old EMDs to the new domain?

Im thinking of setting up a generalised blog that can offer topics about anything, and then target keywords this way.

It depends on your move the content. Do you plan on redirecting or just moving the content and dumping the old website?

Both ways work, you really don't need to wait for the old content to get deindexed before you can start building a new site with the very same content.

Im thinking of redirecting the EMD and putting the content on a new generalised blog and attempt ranking for the keyword from the article.

How nice is that! Now all you need is a brandable name (which actually is easy job cuz you already asked for such)...

Remember that many people will just "skip" a "generalised" blog.

Most of my emd's had less than 5 articles though, so maybe I just need to add more content, although that could be an expensive experiment! One of my sites got hit, and that had over 400 posts, not sure why it got hit and hoping it comes back. Traffic went from 1500 a day to 250. I have the .org, and amazingly the competitor with .com is now ranked no.1!
