To all of those who own sites that are still doing well....

How quickly does a new post on your own site index and rank and does it usually maintain its rankings for a significant amount of time?

For me, personally, new posts on my sites typically index within minutes and often rank just as quickly. My newer sites sometimes take upwards of a week to index/rank.

A certain member has a hard time believing that it's possible so I volunteered to assist him.

Come on folks, let's help this poor soul out.

Generally within 1 hour it will be indexed and within 3 hours I will see it ranked in the SERP. I don't keep tabs on things to know if sooner or how much sooner. As soon as I am done with the content I am usually off doing something else because I am usually writing 5 or 6 articles on a specific topic. I only run 2 sites so probably not much helpful info.

I can get anything indexed within the moment it's post, to a day.

For a newer site maybe 4 days max.

Where do they land? Page 1.

P.S. I e-mailed you Wolf . Need help with some coding if possible! Thanks!

Low competition keywords. I don't focus on keyword density. I focus on just writing something that makes sense. I ping using the URL list from pingler, and I social bookmark it through OnlyWire.

I write up to 500-600 words providing tons of information that a reader is looking for.

I am doing everything similar, except, I am not making use of social bookmark. Perhaps, that is the reason why new posts on my site take lot of time to get indexed.

This could be the exact reason. When GGPaul implemented my strategy, he took it and ran with it exactly as I explained it. He, as I, continues to rank well even after this latest update.

I follow a simple strategy once I add new content to my site:

        1. Add link to the site's facebook and twitter page
        2. Add link info to Follow Like

Doesn't take long to have google bot all over your site finding new content plus gives it an initial social burst both with links and traffic.

Immediately on my sites where I have been adding content regularly. And when I say immediate I mean seconds.
