I am going to setup adwords campaign for a client.

Do you guys do the campaign from your own account or setup a different google id for client?

Also how much do you charge for setting and running an adwords campaign for four different keywords?

It is much easier then doing SEO so I am wondering how much should I charge him. Will it be a recurring payment or a one time adwords campaign setup fee. Please help!!

Be honest with him and tell him you will manage his adwords for a fee or he can set up his own. If you skim a lot off the top and charge him for something he could get for free and he finds out then he will be pissed off.

I did some work for a guy who's web design company was charging him a "google submission fee" which was basically them charging him money to be included in google search results. This cost him £100 quarterly. I told him how they were basically robbing money from him and to report them to trading standards.

The moral of this story is be honest with your clients and dont F*** them over. It pays off in the long run.

Because Adwords campaign isn't "set and forget" type of campaign, you will need to monitor it regularly. I don't charge anything for setting it up (especially if there are only four keywords), but I do charge a monthly fee for monitoring (and optimizing!) campaign.

Actually You can't cheat client on SEM, Just ask him for his/her Budget monthly and daily. Adjust Campaign settings according to it. Never tell him about bidding and keywords you use. Thanks for such wonderful question.. Hope my answer helps you
