New Site: Should I 301 redirect sample page, etc

Google somehow found me and indexed my "Hello", "Sample" and "Coming Soon" Web Posts using wordpress.
I already ommitted them from XML sitemap.
Should I just trash them and ignore them, or 301 redirect them to homepage?
I actually did a 301 redirect after trashing them, and the next day instead of google showing www,mysite.com/coming-soon it shows www,mysite.com/?2 which I believe is the post #.
Worried they will all redirect to homepage and maybe penalize some sort of duplicate content on home page.
