Hi all,

I was just reading the updated Google Guidelines. Here's the one I don't get on Doorway page:

Doorway pages - Webmaster Tools Help

I have a couple of review sites and my reviews are typically the same format. An introduction, description, pros & cons, who the item is meant for, etc. I obviously also have a link to my affiliate site. So is this a problem now? I would have thought for consistency this would be a good thing to have a similar structure but it doesn't sound that way after I read this.

Thanks!

If your pages are linked normally from your main navigation, you have nothing to worry about.

It could be a problem if you are advertising on adwords. Google does not like the landing pages to be full of affiliate links. Your Quality Score can go down therefore the CPC will increase. If there are too many affiliate links on the landing page google might not approve the ads.

But if you using this site for the regular search based traffic i dont see any problem. Did you try cloacking your affiliate links ? It might be a littlebit useful but many PPC marketers think google can detect those cloacked links. I too have a similar opinion.
