We called up A LOT of SEO companies over the past 3 months, and this place seemed like the better deal by a longshot.

The client I'm doing this with, is using them for 2 sites, 15 keywords each site. I do not typically do SEO for my clients, only for myself, but I grilled the salesman and he answered all our questions PERFECTLY. Which no other company was able to do.

Now I'm not an SEO expert but my client asked me a simple question.

The keywords are all local/home improvement based keywords. He asked me this:

"What are the chances that we get a lot of these keywords ranked, but don't get any phone calls?"

My answer was a 2 part answer:

1) I designed your site better than 95% of your competitors, it looks better, functions better, has stronger benefits, clearer flow & focus, so you have little to worry about (things like massive social proof, lifetime warranties, professional videos to pitch his service.. when the majority of his competitors don't even have videos in the first place).

2) Worst case scenario, if people come to the site, and don't call, we'll just further optimize it for conversions. But that won't happen. The only thing that might happen is we want more calls from the traffic we're already getting.

So let me ask, is this a naive outlook on my part?
I studied his competition thoroughly, and know it won't be hard to rank. His site DOES look and perform better than most of his competition, so I personally see no reason to worry.

I still need the experts to tell me whether I need a better backup plan. I've ranked my own local keywords, and got plenty of calls, with a worse design, which is why I'm not worried. But I could still use unbias advice from the real SEO experts on this forum.

thanks guys! - Red
