Product rich snippet markup

I have a questions about using rich snippet markup for products. I have added it to one of my sites but I don't have reviews yet for each product and that might be awhile. So is there any advantage to running the product markup if you don't have reviews? I guess when I run the rich snippet testing tool, nothing is really different in my search results since I have added the markup?

Suggestions?

Discussion on how product markup can help my results stand out?

No one using rich snippet markup for products?

I would think this would be a pretty viable SEO topic.

You should be using rich snippets for "offers" for now. It will greatly increase your CTR.

Even without reviews, you can still markup the data that will show the product price and availability.

You can modify and use the code shown here (minus the review code):

    Offer - schema.org

I would also recommend starting to ask customers for reviews and adding the review code ASAP because those stars much a HUGE difference when a customer is looking at a search result page. If you can get good reviews you will really stand out from the competition.

Okay excellent thanks for the advice. I actually have a review system in place I Just need to get some customers to start filling them in.

Unfortunately I am not allowed to advertise the price of these particular products on my website due to the affiliate program rules, but availability certainly will help.
