For those of you who make Squidoo lens for Amazon products, and are successful (meaning you actually make some sales from time to time), I'm wondering if it is still a good practice to use a product name as at the title of the lens?

Or, with all the Google changes, if that's now seen as too spammy?

I ditched concentrating on my own amazon as my squidoo lenses
    were really taking off.

Don't build for specific item, but what people may search for.
This holds true for other websites as well.

Most of the time, amazon and retail sites will rank for the
brand specific item. But those sites do not answer questions like:
big screen tv for a small room, best televisions for families, etc.
And those are the people you want.

Squidoo and amazon make a powerful combination. Trust has
to be involved. Would I click on a link on Joe Blow's WP TV
    Blog, or squidoo?

My squidoo lens selling is transitioning from summer to winter.
Summertime, one of my summer related lenses sold at least
2 items a day for 2 straight months.

Probably another thing people don't take into account for
traffic and sales: time of year and season.

Since squidoo gives you basically all commission, why not
ride their coattails? I get backlinks in the process.

I would say, its still the best practice. Squidoo and Pinterest are the current trend, moreover the former deals with content and linking, so its a better option for those who look to market their products.

If you can promote your Squidoo lens, you have better chances of getting your lens ranked for your product searches, which would obviously increase your sales.

So, Paulgl, I take it that you are saying to use those kinds of search terms for the title of the lens. Is this rioght?

You got it! (title and url, to be exact.)

        And those are "buying" phrases.

Maybe it was my secret, but I'm sure others do it.

Even though I was against EMD's from the start, I am not
against EMU's! Yes, I'll coin a new acronym, if it's not one
        already. EMU: Exact match url.

From my admittedly limited experience (I only have 2-3 lenses which consistently make sales), people love lists. Top 5 Lawn Mowers, Best Cast Iron Cookware, that kind of stuff.

    Hi,

    My noob questions;

1.When I split my earnings with squidoo I get my amazon comission payout faster monthly from squidoo trough paypal??

When I not split I must wait 3-4 months for my first cheque (european) and then when I have my cheque,my Bank has 30 days obligo and after all them I have my money from amazon middleage is that absolutely. Yes the following cheques will become then in 4-6 weeks (+30 days obligo) also always in 2 months.

    2. Should I better promote cb products on squidoo without split my earnings to squidoo? With cb products I become my comissions faster payout trough paypal from them.

3.I have heard that product items in the 30-60$ price range are selling most with squidoo not the high price items above 100$-200$ and more?

4.What are best methods to rank high in google with my lens and get good traffic to my lens- only make comments on other lenses????

    best wishes

When it comes to Squidoo lens, squdioo doesn't lets you make a title just about your products, as squdioo favours words of authors, yes you can sell items there but you need to be creative and content should be great.

    Hi,

also squidoo content lens are way better than product review lens who has the longtail product name in the title-like canaonpowershotZ260 review or so??

or better write content lens about my niche like powermind or healthor whatsever and then make a link list (does it named so on squidoo?) in the sidebar who links to one or 2-3 pages of my affiliate money site??

    best wishes
