Focus on building the authority of the domain by getting high quality back link to your main page. Put some back link also to important pages of your site no need to put back link to all the 4K pages.

Focus on increasing the authority of your website and the rest of the pages will benefits in the long run

With so much pages try to work in a lot of long tail keyword, one for page.

Thats 4000 pages. Don't tell me you are going to upload all the pages at once. Because that don't help. Put up your content gradually over a period of time.

Try to get backlinks for your domain first. Keep the anchor text as the main keywords and other related keywords. Slowly start building links for others. The best thing is to get an free account with Pixelpipe.com or Hellotxt.com ... this way you can get a good amount of link juice the moment you make a post or page.

Also a good internal backlinking structure is equally important.

No Hands SEO is just for blog comments and you need variety of backlinks for it.Softwares like Senuke or Magic Submitter could be a better option for you. But your main focus should be the main domain at the moment because as it starts to rank higher you'll see other pages are getting ranked too.

look at how your website links internally. Make sure all the connections to and from each page makes sense to the visitor. My guess is that 4000 pages can't all be tightly linked around a small topic. Try to divide the site up into smaller topics and group those pages together

I would put post 1-4 pages a day and get some automatic social bookmarking software that will bookmark each page as it is posted. These 4000 pages, what do they consist of? articles, listings, reviews?

they are all longtail low competition keywords all leading to 5 main pages (the money pages) the idea of the experiment was to have rotating links on the pages and then backlink the individual pages feeding the link juice to the main pages - so really 4000 pages are fueling 5 pages but doing it internally.

It sounds like you have a good internal linking plan/setup, which is underrated and surely important. As far as backlinks, you want to work on a variety of links coming from multiple referring IPs. No hands SEO and GSA will probably work great for this. If you are using a brand new domain, be careful with link velocity.

Try to focus most of your time on getting contextual links from high PR pages or high PR TLD's that allow you to create pages/posts on their domains. Think Web2.0 or setting up your own private blog network. Then you can use these services or software to send links to these pages as well as your money site. These pages will pick up page rank pretty fast and will work great to send more juice back to your site.

First off, definitely don't upload a site with 4,000 pages all at once.

Second, GSA is a great tool but only for use in a multi-tiered environment. Most any kind of auto posting software like that is very risky in terms of sending links direct to your money site.

Third, and most people miss this, have MULTIPLE money sites and SEO all of them in case one gets slapped! Have multiple sites selling the same product but with different layouts/themes, different copy and images, and so on.

I totally agree - in fact I will end up with about 10 different sites , each targeting 5 money keyword pages but diferent in each site

Awesome. I have some "backup" money sites sitting in reserve, just in case. They receive minimal but very natural back linking and are quietly aging well, so they'd be easy to rank quickly should my main money site ever get tanked.
