Man, do I have a lot of questions for you guys!

My plan is to rank 4 similar keyword phrases and have the larger main keyword saved for later and for the homepage.

example:
website dot com/htc mobile phones
website dot com/nokia mobile phones
website dot com/iphone mobile phones
website dot com (keyword= mobile phones)

the aim of the site would be to collect emails, then direct to sales page

1. Would having my homepage as an optin page (with no menu at the top) hinder seo results for keywords? I suspect it is important to have a menu on the homepage linking to keyword phrase pages like in the above example. I was thinking about putting them down below where the privacy etc links are.

I would have pages on the backend to rank for these keywords (with top nav. bar menu!) So besides the homepage, it would look like a normal site.

I was going to also have relevant content on the homepage for that keyword, below the page fold. I would use something like optimize press, any other suggestions?

Examples of what im referring to: bettafishcenter dot com, truthaboutcellulite dot com

2. What difficulty level are my 4 phrases which are 2000-3000 exacts, 30k-40k competing pages, top ten: 2.4 pr avg., top ten: 3-4 sites yellow/ the rest green backlink numbers.

The keyword for the homepage that I was going to achieve over the long run is 25K exacts, 500,000 competing pages, 3 green/ 7 yellow, and avg pr of 2.8!

3. I was going to just put a page up for each keyword and build backlinks, but I wanted to see if I should use the strategy of making these keyword pages as individual blog topics on the website, having multiple posts on each subject, idea from here: viperchill dot com/bulletproof-seo-strategy/

I have spend a lot, probably too much, time analyzing, I would really appreciate any of your help!
