The stat below represents the data of of past 18 days and the CPC has gone down to 7-8 cents. Earlier, it would never go below 35 cents.

I will appreciate your tips and suggestions. This is the Blog in the question

I had reported this to the Adsense team and they said that there was little that they could do in this regard. I was advised to create custom channel but it's been 15 days since I created custom channels and there has been no improvement in CPC.
The top 5 countries sending traffic to the blog are, India, United States, UK, Australia, and Canada. Together, they amount for about 90% of total traffic.

One thing to keep in mind is that all things do not remain the same, Google does not set the price for ads or clicks. The cost is set based on the number of ads being purchased for a given keyword and how high the competition drives the price or how low it is allowed to fall. If you are experiencing a dip in US based traffic that could always cause a lower CPC because it pays much more then other places.

Your thread reminds me why I walked away from getting paid for clicks.

      Thanks for your input Nelapsi,
Well, I just looked into the Google Analytics account and it shows a steady increase in the traffic from the U.S. Canada, U.K and Australia. What I'm unable to figure out that what went wrong with the campaign. The same blog would get me no less than 30 cents per click for a consecutive 4 months..The blog has never been hit by Panda or Penguin. In fact, the page rank has improved from 2 to 3.

I have brought no change to the design and have been consistently writing for it.

You did not read what I was saying, this could have nothing to do with your blog and everything to do with the reduced price being paid by advertisers. There isn't much in life that stays the same exact thing, especially prices, each and every month. Look at gas, it changes daily.

A custom channel will not on its own increase CPC.

You need buyers, not lookers. That's really the only
way to increase your CPC, with a caveat.

The more people buy after clicking, the better the
quality of your site seems. You will then get more
bidders bidding up the price. But the best
adwords users get a lower rate. That's the caveat.

You can actually get a higher CPC on your site than search
          does when multiple people bid.

A custom channel needs to be done right to attract those
          bidders.

First, you need a history. I don't know how long your site
has adsense on it, but it takes time for bidders to find
          your site.

The flip side also is true. You keep getting lookers and
not bidders, then google will lower the CPC so the
adwords customer makes up their ROI. That's sometimes
          referred to as being "smartpriced."

You need to take it upon yourself to have the content
that attracts buying targeted customers, then have them
buy or finish the call to action when clicking.

Google tells you up front to allow images and text, as this
opens your site up to more bidders. Also use a variety
if ad unit sizes, as not all bidders bid on all of them.

I normally have one 728, one 160x600, and one 336.
          I make one image/text. Sometimes I do two 336's.

People are too faint of heart to allow images. That's
          a shame.

Thanks very much for your time, Paul.
Honestly speaking, I really did not know about the aspects of Adsense you just mentioned. I need to read a lot more about it which I will start doing from now.

Regarding the history is concerned, I got my Adsense account in March end and started monetizing the blog from April. The highest earning month was August and ever since it's on a decline. Please have a look at the screenshot attached.

It seems I need to focus on other alternate channel

Check it on Google Adword Tool, things like this happens when advertisers reduce the amount they pay on ads.

I had recently seen a post on Adsense income for Huffington Post. The writer had estimated some of the leading news blogs' RPM to be anywhere between $3.5 and $12. Whereas, I am not even reaching $1.5. This is what I really want to understand and achieve.
