Changing url and ranking Qs from newbie

Hi, I have been learning a lot on this forum since recently joining and really appreciate the community support and willingness by the members to take their time and offer substantive comments and suggestions. I do have a couple of questions I have not been able to find the answers for though.
I started a basic wp site using a free theme on www.LA-ForeclosureGuide(dot)com and after a bit realized that I did not want to be locked into the foreclosure aspect for future market changes and I had a really ugly site. So I got www.SoCalHomeownerOptions (dot)com a couple of days ago to install on a revamped site.
I plan on doing a URL redirect to the new site later today when I have cleaned up some issues.
I installed Google Analytics and the Alexa code on the original site. Do I need to get new code for this site or should I transfer it so it keeps building on what I have already done? I don't think I am getting any Google love at this point since this is a very competitive area, but for some reason I am ranking really high (seems to me at least) in Alexa rankings. Not sure why that would be. I have been tracking the Alexa rankings and have pasted at bottom if interested and if you have any comments on the accuracy of these rankings. Google only shows 66 visitors in this timeframe so I haven't swamped the market.
Questions:
1. What do I do about the existing analytics?
2. If I send out a pingomatic later today to start getting found on the search sites. How long should I wait before I send out a PR announcement related to the new site? Next weekend I want to send another PR blast announcing my book on Kindle (real book I just wrote - about 80 pages) so I want to do ASAP.
3. The Foreclosure site had something happen yesterday that screwed up the coding and I just have a blank screen when I try to get to the admin panel. Is there any reason I need to try to fix? Since I am planning on doing a redirect anyhow - I am thinking it is not that important.
4. Any other suggestions as I make this change or cautions welcome.
