I don't know about you and your seo business, but it seems with all of the latest updates with the big G, I'm really struggling to find the right mix of links to get a site ranked well. I fully understand the power of a good multi-page original content site. But what about your ideas towards seo into 2013 and beyond?

I'd love to hear your ideas in this regard.

Thanks,

Frank

    Hi Frank,
I've focused most of link efforts around guest blogging, which has shown decent results. Nothing mysterious, obviously...but after Penguin/EMD updates i'm being very careful on where i put my energy.

Finding relevant sites in your niche and guest blogging for them may be a symbiotic way to get quality links from quality sites. Of course scaling that is another story...

One thing for sure, they'll never stop updating. I guess they are really determined to wimp out low quality content sites. Anything could happen though, perhaps all the major search engine sites will be untied (although very unlikely). Things are changing real fast..We have to keep up with the pace, stay up to date and always upgrading ourselves as often as we can.

    Welcome to the..... information age!

Honestly True SEO has never changed in the 8 years I have been doing it.

SEO in reality is not about "rankings". In fact its actually about making a website Google wants to love.

The methods we do that by are what has clouded everything.

Good quality unique content eventually will always be king. Google can filter out the filth already they just don't say so.

But unique original stuff eventually will be king so just start building that now.

I'm not changing a thing, the same exact plan I had for 2011, works perfectly in 2012 and I am very confident it will be successful in 2013.
