Quality Score 1 - Point of no return?

I've uploaded a few campaigns that were hit with Quality Scores of 1 right from the start.

It did not matter if they were image or text ads - once those campaigns have been slapped with that grand old number of 1, they simply would not run. They have minimum bids of $10, and they would not show up on both the search and content networks.

I'm trying to go trend-spotting here and see what triggered those slaps. The frustration with Google is constantly mounting by the day, and the constant slaps have wasted so much of my time.

Anyone who faced this problem before too?

      Hi Ronny,

Based on your post I sense that you've been trying to find a way around the Quality Score issues. You can't beat Google, you must follow her rules.

Learn the rules and Google will reward you! Nothing but extreme relevance will be rewarded.

I actually couldn't agree more with that and I honestly did not try to be creative or something.

I was just direct linking to a clickbank product, and I guess that domain had been slapped by Google.

Keywords-wise, I'm using relevant keywords and I think the problem just lies with the destination URL.

Have you had any success in similar situations?

          Hi Ronny,

There is no need to guess. You can use the Keyword Analysis Page to determine what is causing your poor Quality Score. You may find that it is something other than your landing page.

If it is the landing page that your are direct linking to, then you should create your own landing page to resolve the problem. It would be wise to verify the problem area first since that's the easiest thing to do.

Yup, it was the problem with the landing page. Guess I'll just have to link to other sites now. Thanks for the suggestion Don. It did make me think twice.

You might want to open a new account.

    Your account has been slapped.
