Backlinks from penalised sites

Hello,

Let's say I have three sites about blue widgets (bluewidgets.com bluewidgets101.net, bluewidgets614.org) and they are all penalized by google. Not showing up in SERPS, but still indexed and with high PR (PR3,PR3,PR4)

Now, what if I make another site about blue widgets and point links from the previous domains to this site? Would it work? Or is it wise to redirect all those sites to the "new" site?

Whats your opinion about that?

    I think you shouldn't get backlink from previous penalized website. Because google has catched all you previous websites due to irrelevant work that google doesn't accept. So don't place your new site's link on them and work with quality to get high rank.

    I will prefer to change previous website's content quality and low quality back links. If you have already done it then you should go for new domain for your previous panalized websites.

    Redirection to new one is good in comparison to taking back links.

    As they have been penalized recently i would not link to them in any way for some time. Start to try and recover them before you link to them in anyway with your other sites. Good Luck

    I wouldn't link to them at all from the penalized sites and I definitely wouldn't redirect the penalized sites to them. I would work on getting new links for the new site.

    I've had no problem using them as tier 1 links - although I can't say one way or the other if this is advisable or not yet.

    Why were they penalized? Without knowing what went wrong in the first place moving or redirecting to another domain is not the answer since you are likely to suffer the same predicament.

    How badly hit are your sites?
