I have recently added the Recent Posts widget at the top right of my site

Can google read these?

    It's javascript, so probably not.

    Best way to know is check the cache version of your site and hit the 'text-only version' option. That is pretty much how Google sees your site.

    Like Mike said, it's doubtful Google will see any of that "Recent Post" text.

    Here's what the Google Cache (text version) will most likely show once the page is re-cached (minus the search form).

    I'm sure all G will see is the "Recent Post" & "loading...) text, since it's the only text that's not javascript.

    I used a plugin for Firefox to turn off javascript, images, & CSS style sheets to simulate a Google Cache (text version).
