I think there is no negative SEO effects on it. Just make sure that you must create a quality website in your domain. Quality Contents and Quality Backlinks.

No hyphens is better, but it wont really matter much after the latest EMD update. Its better to just get a brand-able domain name and build EMU pages on it.

Works great for rankings.

I agree with you. Unless it is a brand name it no longer makes sense to purchase keyword loaded domain names.

BTW, do you think tools like GS SER still make sense post-Penguin. If yes how could one use them without awakening Penguin.

In my experience anything Automated to your money site is just a mistake. Build a tier system and put auto feeds to the buffer sites, link quality links to your money site.

Your rankings will rise.

It has many options: blog comment, Directory, Document Sharing, Foru, Guestbook, Image Comment, INdexer, Pingback, Referrer, Social Bookwork, Social Network, Trackback, Video and Web 2.0. Which of these should be directed at lower tiers and which ones to money site if any.

People are excited because they do not know what they are doing.

Those spam links should never be used but if you are going to ALL should be pointed at tier sites not your money site.

Hyphenated domains correlate to high search engine ranking to a much lesser degree than their non-hyphenated counterparts. This may only be a correlation, but it is the best indication of how they are treated by Google and users that we have. I would recommend trying the acquire the non-hyphenated version, or looking for a more brand oriented domain, failing both these go for the hyphenated version.

hyphens don't have NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on seo. Google is more interested in whats on your site, just keep it to a maximum of 2 hyphens and you should be good to go. I have many sites with hyphens and they are doing just fine.

Google will considers URL with Hyphen as separate keywords. for ex. you have a website called domain1-domain2 dot com. Search engine will consider domain1 as separate and Domain2 separate keywords. If you use _ in url, It has no effect on Google. Google will consider domain1domain2 as single domain.

There is no Problem in using Hyphen in your URL.And its not going to affect your SEO work.Just build quality backlinks and post unique content on your site that's all you have to take care of.

It's better not to use hyphens. However, they won't have a major impact on your rankings. As long as you will add quality content and do SEO properly, there's nothing to worry about.

You should not add hyphens because Mostly User does not prefer hyphens in domain names and other things Loss traffic.

It's always better to choose a domain name without hyphens as it will be difficult for user's to remember such domains

Hyphen within domain names are not of much value in search engines especially in Google.. It is always advisable to have domain without any hyphens....

There is no effect using hypen in domain name, i read this case study somewhere, in the case study he tested using hypen and it beat the non-hypen domain name, so it all comes to your content and SEO effort. The best way to do it is to test it yourself, you will learns a lot of things in the road.

Hyphens may not affect you negatively when it comes to SEO / SEM but they may affect you negatively when it comes to branding. If you are planning to build a large authority site with good branding, I wouldn't go with hyphens in the domain name.

Let's say you have a popular site that people will frequently want to come back to. They don't bookmark the site, but they have it roughly in their memory.

The next time the try to visit the domain based on memory, they will likely visit the non-hyphenated version of the URL. And they might never be able to find the site again...

One use hyphens, hyphen taken as space by search engine, so one can use - without any tension, it will provide advantage in SEO.

People (not everyone here) are mixed up on domains and urls.
A domain is not a url.

You do want hyphens in your urls, if needed. Same with domains
if that's what you are going for.

In fact, you want hyphens in a domain name, especially in
cases where words slur together, or you get unintended
letters in a row that spell words that some people block.
Like the letters s e x. s h i t. etc.

Domains with repeated letters, side by side, to end and
begin words, like besttshirts, scream for hyphens.

Type in traffic is not an issue anymore. 10 years ago, when
it was, I remember many sites skipping a letter for fear
people would not type the two letters back to back.

Sometimes I think there are some pretty good bots that
just post nonsense replies here.
