You have a new site (not authority)

You have 10 days to get your articles ranked in Google and begin seeing traffic and sales...what would you do?

    10 days is not nearly enough time unless you're going after keywords with basically zero competition.

    These days more and more time is need to rank high in Google due to competition. The only hope can be on CPC but that will also need more time to consume all your budget even if you set it quite high.

    Adwords doesn't have to cost that much if you streamline it and target exact keyphrases. Just takes a little time to set up.

    Choose the lowest hanging fruits in terms of keywords and target them. They won't bring much traffic but will at least be possible to rank for.

    And since most of those longer-tail, more specific keywords are generally the ones with the highest commercial intent, you may start to see some sales and/or leads.

    We've done it in under 10 days, but for local and low-competition keywords like "mobile a/c repair" - that one ranked to #1 in 4 days for a new site - but for anything national, or high competition, forget it.

        If they are easy comp, then just build a few high pr backlinks. PR2 +

        You could also write and submit a press release, chances are the press release will rank high if its low comp.

          I was actually about to point this out. Use prlog, for low comp it'll rank on front page. I tried it today and it worked great.

    Wall I think it is not going to be hard if you used high PR sites such as Squidoo or Youtube or Hubpages I have ranked a Video and a few Squidoo lenses less than 10 days using only blog commenting and I think it's because these kind of sites (web2.0 sites) have a lot of trust in Google eyes especially YouTube

      Yes, this is extremely effective for low to medium stuff, and even high comp if you build enough sites and send enough juice to them. But I wouldn't put all my eggs in this basket since we all expect Big G to whack it in a future algo update.

    Also I forgot to tell you that the competition is very important you must do a lot of keyword research before starting SEO and to do that I advice you to try Market Samurai the best keyword research tool I have ever used.

    Well I tested various SEO campaign method on my sites and think that I notice no matter which link you build the ranking process doesn't go fast as it used to be a year ago, before you could get good ON page high PR links and get onto first page for competitive term in about a month today process of ranking goes very slow to rank for some medium competitive term may take you 2-3 month to get into top 3 spots..and if you are not careful with your site and SEO campaign every time when Google update their algorithm you are in risk of losing the ranking...

    I would build 100 web 2.0 blogs (wordpress, tumblr, squidoo, etc) with unique high quality content, images, videos. and the use senuke on those web 2.0s

    so day 1, make 100 web 2.0
    day 2-7, run the full monty on each web 2.0
    8-10, submitt all the links to lindexed.com and set it to drip for 3 days

    because there are only 100 backlinks directly to your site it shouldn't get penalized.

    then it should be ranking well. I would then have to build other types of backlinks to my site to diversify them so there are no penalties .
