A- if your domain is pretty new ..don't you EVER build a lot of backlinks at the start!, go and get some high pr links FIRST. This is very important to boost your site at the beginning of your SEO journey. After you get these High PR links (You can do some MANUAL blog comments on high PR blogs posts , it will be more than enough though ) and after your site is indexed...do some legit advertizements to get you some visitors even if it's cheap and will get you visitors not related to your niche, we just want to cover the massive backlinks you will build later, since Google have algorithms to detect sites with lots of backlinks coming without having any traffic!!, if you do that it's like screaming loud "un-natural backlinks are coming!" it's a common mistake a lot of people do though , after a week or two you can stop the advertizements and go build as many backlinks as you want!.


B- Be smart , save your time and start using a link building software , and remember a tool is a tool and it's only doing what YOU are asking it to do! , so you can easily use this tool to build 5000 blog comments links a day and get your site slapped by the big G next day! then you go blaming the SEO link building tools in all the forums you can get your hand on like an idiot!!, OR you can use it to save your time and build 200/400 links a day (depending on how old your domain is) for 4 inner pages along with the home page with 30% of your target keyword as anchor text and 30% related keywords and 30% general keywords like "click here" & " check out this site". All this in readable Articles or super spun articles BUT must be readable and make sense. I recommend you to use a service like article builder or ultra spinnable articles to get a high quality super spun articles related to your niche. Don't worry about passing Copyscape though, these articles will get your links indexed in Google and that is all what you need to worry about.


C- Build backlinks from a lot of web 2.0 blogs , WP / Elgg blogs , article sites and some little bookmarks as your tier 1 backlinks. Then build bookmarks / RSS / Blog comments / Profile links as a second tier pointing to your tier 1. Learn how to do it in the smart way so It will look natural as much as you can.

D- Remember , a link that is not indexed in Google is useless ( I know some fellows will not agree with me about that , but this is what I saw in my own tests ) , so you must make sure that your backlinks are indexed in Google to get the link juice you are looking for. How to do that ? , build links to your backlinks to get them in the index. Can't do it ? , use backlinksindexer.com it's really working though.

Find out the keywords relevant to your business site using Google adword's keyword tool and prepare title tag description tag using your keywords and brand name. Upload unique informative content to site. And start off-page optimization with social bookmarking, directory submission, content marketing, blogging, guest posting, press release. This will be helpful for the lead of the site.

For keyword analysis, you might want to use Google adwords, its the best for beginners and then onpage seo starts from uploading unique and informative contents. Of course there are other on page techniques but after then you move to promoting your sites via off page techniques like blog commenting, guest blogging, social bookmarking, social networking and forum posting to gain traffic and backlinks.

Off site SEO - Be original, do not spam, do not abuse your anchor, avoid spinning if you can't spin word for word, paragraph e.t.c and get your link on high pr sites..

I would say writing quality articles with a word count of 500+ and building your backlinks by finding similar websites ( comment on them with your link back to your site.)

I wrote this for another post but its perfect for this post too as it seems everyone is trying to just BUILD links rather than EARN links.

Its interesting that people are still pushing buying links and trying to game the system. If you're in a niche for some short term gain by all means buy links that could look natural to Google and work to get your site to the top of the SERP's. I've done this for sites in the past and have made some great headway in low competition niches - as Google doesn't have as much of a choice and they don't spend as much time policing these niches (and local niches for that matter).

However, if you a looking to build a longer term brand and build authority in a niche don't build back links - you need to EARN back links.

You are correct in asking about content as this will be the foundation of building solid traffic, visitors and links. There are multiple ways to do this and create traffic quickly and EARN back links. I launched a WSO addressing these techniques.

A couple of secrets - create excellent consumable content in your niche or have a someone write it for you (textbrokers.com or others). I recently had an article written for me. Once I received it I had to re-write sections but it gave me a starting point and it took a lot less time (maybe 15 minutes).
