Branding high pr network

I was wondering if branding a pr network would be beneficial, I dont mean i would be making a private blog network then branding it after taking the time to hide it, i mean simple buying the high pr sites and branding them, then giving them great content all the while sending a few links back to the money site. I read some about this in the link liberation 3.0 course but didn't study or test it. Any insite on this?

On a side note have been branding web 2.0 sites with good success over the past 6 months and was wondering if the additional pr would help overall.

No i don't want to start a conversation about blog network, i own one and im happy with the results, i was just wondering if branding one and really expanding my topic would give good results in the serps

    But aren't you only using your private network for SEO purposes and not for human traffic?

    If it's just for SEO, keep it under the radar.

    If by "branding" sites on your blog network, you mean making them look more "real" then I'd say it can only be a good thing.

    I think I would want to treat them all like actual standalone sites even if you are using them for your own network. Google is starting to utilize social factors so I would tweet things, post on facebook, work on getting other backlinks. All the things you would do regardless.

    I would be using it more for seo traffic by making each of them rank for little terms, while hoping they still get give good juice but i think i will just keep them secret till i do more research, thanks guys
