I'm very new at this, and I've made a "niche" site seeing how it will go. I've made some content and various things, I know I need to keep posting content and keeping my site new and healthy, but I need some help to get a little higher.
I use analytics, I use webmaster tools, and my site shows up for a handful of keywords I like, however ranked pretty deep in searches. Any tips on my content or how I can improve my site for ranking help would be very helpful, thanks a lot.

My site is in my sig, I cannot post links yet but its also

  • SyetemIsGod,

It looks like you are doing a lot of on-site tactics just fine. Have you thought about doing some offsite stuff like link building or external property creation? This can help drive more traffic to your site. You should also look at using social media to spread your content and generate social signals.

Here are some tips on offsite seo,

I bet the competition is pretty heavy. You have to make an all out exposure of your website. Provide interesting content for users, spread it through social media, and so on.

You website looks good. Lots of great onpage SEO techniques and most importantly lots of good quality unique content which Google really loves.

What you need to do now is focus on your offpage SEO and get people talking about your site. Get people linking and sharing your site and the search engines will begin to see you as more of an authority which will enable to you rank highly in the search engines.

      • You're in a highly competitive niche. So, add quality content over TIME and be patient, this is the only way. Beyond that, use software like Market Samurai to drill down into long tail keyword value opportunities, and find a handful of gem keywords to structure your future content-building around. Gems have:
        1) decent search volume (at least 1000 hits per month)
        2) low to moderate competition
        3) a decent monetization potential (this variable is factored different ways but Market Samurai has an effective means of quantifying)

There are a few onsite things you could do.
Perhaps add some images ~ this brings some color and life to the page along with the SEO benefits

People like to browse, so make it easy for them. Use h2 and h3 tags for the headers of your data-blocks. Use css for sizing the text.
