What quantifies a quality link?

Hey Warriors,

Over the last month I have been trying to build some quality links for a site in the automotive niche. I am having difficulty determining any quality links to obtain.

Should I get home-page blog rolls?
Blog network post / contextual links?

Obviously no matter what type of link i get the anchor text should be varied and I also wonder if I should use buffer / tier sites that point to my money site or just link directly to the main EMU page I am trying to rank for.

I am currently on page #2 (was 1st page #2 about 6 months ago).

I have never put bad quality links of any-type to this site and the backlink profile of the links are pretty good so I am just unsure what a quality link in this niche would look like.

Thanks all.

I generally think of quality links as any sort of link from an authority site. Obviously if a big site included a link to you in one of their blog posts, something like that would be amazing. Either way, anything other than useless links like profile links are generally worth the time.

Quality link is any link that is from an authority site and the link is in a related article linking to your article.

Authority site is the site made of 50~100 pages. Basically a lot of pages revolving about a niche.
