Here is an experiment that I did using You Tube tags which just shows you how easy it is to rank high on Youtube.


That's just one method, there are other methods which can make your stay on the top absolutely pleasant. Simply put - you can turn around whatever YT options where text is allowed, to your SEO benefit.

      Your test wasn't completely accurate.

      Before adding the new tag, you weren't logged in to youtube (No search preference, accurate results), and after adding the tag, you were logged into youtube when you checked the new ranking (Inaccurate biased results).

      Other than that, I do use this method and it does work, but not as instant as your test.

        I don't see any difference in ranking whether logged in or not. Also if I was not logged in, the video wouldn't be showing my username at the top. So no idea where you got that from. May be you can use the full screen option.

        I suggest watching the video with open eyes before jumping in and making negative comments. And whether you use it or not, the results are quick even today. I know there are thousands of others using the tags, but not everyone took the time to experiment. Take the time to do it and you'll also see the result, then you can come back and reply.

        Btw I tried the tagging even when I uploaded this video today, and it still works. Just search "you tube rankings" or "you tube seo". This video is still showing up on first page of youtube here, logged in or not. Also check the time when the video was published to know if it's still quick or not. It's still just a few hours, I posted the video here immediately after it went live. So you got live proof here again.

        And I won't have any problem replicating the process and showing the results again using another video. I only publish what works whether it worked for you or not.

      One negative comment can trigger a thousand others. So I understand.

      Regarding your question: Whether already uploaded or not, the results show up instantly. These replies just shows majority don't even know. That's why I recorded and decided to post it here. So that everyone may know and test it for themselves to see how fast and effective tags are, even today.
