Good social SEO services?

I've just launch my blog and hired a VA to do all the basic SEO stuff like linkwheel, directory submission, facebook and twitter stuff, etc. but how do I crank it up a notch or two?

With all the new Google updates, I heard the best way is to do "social" SEO (if that's a thing). Where can I find good services to do that? Or what should my VA and I focus on?

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

If you offer such services link me to you sales page.

Also each posts on my blog have a matching youtube video that I'm trying to promote. So if you have any tips specifically for that let me know.

Thanks,
Louis

Social won't rank you, or hardly, you need high PR quality links.

Can I just PM you or setup a skype chat?

That used to be true, but recent studies such as this one Facebook and Twitter Shares Closely Linked With High Google Search Rankings prove that things have changed. I was really surprised to see that 5 out of the top 6 ranking factors are social media related. They might not have a direct impact on rankings, but they do have a huge impact nonetheless.

first tip I would give is to stay far away from the" Link Wheel" because post penguin google can tell that you have these sites crossed linked in a wheel, some say that if you leave the last site on the link wheel open and not link to the first this will help keep you under the radar. This has lost me rank on sites so many times. Try a link pyramid this is where you tier link your link structure. You can google link pyramids and see images and get tips on these. these are the only link networks I now use. Start tier one with wiki sites, .edu .gov and article site and then tier two use bookmarks and blog comments and forum profiles and document sharing. To address the social media question I will use facebook, myspace, twitter, squidoo, and youtube, vimeo, and sites like this. senukex has a great software that does link pyramids. And a knock off to senukex is ultimate demon by the creator of bookmarking demon they have a service for 47 dollars a month they call a link tree, which is another word for link pyramid that will work. Thanks I hope this helps you.

When you hire a VA, it means you have complete knowledge of the task you want him to carry out for you. And you will also train him to work in your own path or in addition to what he knows.

When they say having social signals on your site is all about having active facebook, twitter, myspace and the likes linked to your web page. A lot of people still doubt social media don't have much to do with ranking that is true... It only commands a small portion.

Also each posts on my blog have a matching youtube video that I'm trying to promote. So if you have any tips specifically for that let me know.
Normally, that is just it..... Otherwise, you can rank it for your target page keywords as well.

Social signals matter a lot towards ranking says Matt Cutts, Quality Team head at Google. Your thoughts and idea on social media are Good. Though you could go for SEM initially and then shift to social, since yours is a new site.

Social does matter. Google has started showing social stuff in analytics and definitely consider it as ranking factor. Increase your social footprint by linking your site to gplus, fb, twitter, linkedin etc.
