Can Google Track User Metrics If You Don't Have Analytics Installed on Your Site?

My question is basically just that. I know that Google ideally wants to take user metrics of a site into account as one of their ranking factors to consider. Metrics such as how long a visitor spends on a site, how many pages they visit on it/bounce rate, etc. Can these be tracked if you the webmaster have not installed Google Analytics on your site?

Edit: I suppose Google Chrome gives them a decent sized sample size to gauge or anyone using the Google Toolbar but I'd still like some thoughts.
