Thanks, I asked because I have tried many ways to bring visitors without any benefits.

It takes years to build a big site, my primary site has been up for 9 years and I do 5 updates a week (sometimes if my wife leaves me alone on the weekend). There are a few pages I have done well and get 500 and some 1000 users a day hitting but for the majority of my traffic it is just the shear number of pages getting 5, 10 or 15 users each day that add up.

Good, I have 80 pages of content, but 9 to 15 visitors per day.

On my 2nd site, which is much much newer.. I have probably twice as much contact as that but actually less traffic then you. I just don't worry about it at this point in the game because I know when I get it going good the site could easily be doing 1 mil a month in traffic, it will just take work.

Definitely yes! Especially if it is quality content. I also suggest that your articles have quality images on it to take advantage on pinterest traffics.

I agree completely with this.. develop a routine whatever works for you..
      I personally do this..
      1. Write
      2. Facebook/Twitter site posts
      3. Follow Like the page to spread it around a bit.

Done, then I start looking at what I am going to write next. After a while (months maybe a year) you will find users will take care of back linking for you and with what they do, you will get addition traffic from their friends. Then your site grows by itself and you focus on building.

Great, Is this everything you do to promote your posts, Do you think that this will work with health niches?

My older/hobby website covers probably 10 or so different niches and it works for everything so far. Websites are merely a numbers a game, more content.. repeated exposure, people see links and then one day they have a need with that niche and suddenly you have a visitor. If your content is good and answers the need they have, then they book mark it and come back.. they share it with their friends either all of them at once or if something comes up in a post. As this process repeats itself Google rewards you with increases in SERP.

What people fail to realize is you can get just as much traffic with a well built site that is never or hardly ever updated. Oh well.

I imagine you can, heck there are probably countless ways to skin this cat. I build the sites I do because that is what I like to do, I would probably lose interest fairly quickly always jumping from one site to the next. This just fits my goal and my personality.

And it is a perfectly viable tactic. Too many people think that it is necessary to constantly post to a site though, and that is just not the case. If you are a tech blog, well shit is changing every hour. You would need to update the site a lot.

If your site is devoted to the latest trends in furniture... not quite so exciting or fast paced. A post once a month would probably be sufficient.

I never thought about it like that and probably myself have told people to update constantly simply because I do it.. but perhaps a better and more accurate wording would be.. Update as often as your niche requires too.

Indeed, lol... 80 pages of content on 1 site? No.. but hey, whatever works for them

a good quality site is not defined by the "number of pages" a site has, but by the quality of the site; from content, site's friendliness, etc.

your site's mission: provide useful information, and answer a user's question as much as possible, and also make you money in the process, so you can cloth and feed yourselves

I know there seems to be a sudden crazy of threads regarding content quality doesn't matter so much but I can clearly tell the difference in a well sculpted page and how it ranks vs something I just did for the sake of covering a sub topic that is never searched for.

Updateding does work, as it helps Google come back in, BUT you should make an effort to get out and spread the work - At least via facebook build a good crowd of followers....that want to read what you have to say.....

Definitely, if you are posting genuine, searchable and unique content on a regular basis then you can get a better amount of traffic.

Yes, updating site regular Content not only bring visitors to site but also helps to get site crawled faster than the non-updated ones. It also helps in improving site's quality and increase PR of site.
You can do SBM for your blogs and can acquire visitors on it.

I add an article once week - it helps to get the site index faster and it also looks fresh in Google eyes. Sites with more content have more authority and rank better for long tails as well.

Quality content, updated on a regular basis can only be a good thing.
There is far too much junk on most blogs ... mainly pitch, pitch, pitch!

Almost all my sites have over 60 articles and some of them have over 95, but the traffic is very low! I am updating content now-a-days almost 3-4 times weekly. I hope to see traffic recovery in the coming months... And what is "Solid Site Architecture" that doesn't need content update?

Daily updating for one, may be a bad reason to lose his/her courage for long time when there are very few output for works.

Frequently and regularly can be good way for building good content. Long term running is the main key here, I think so.

    • Adding fresh content on your blog on a daily basis is a great way to build loyal readership and get traffic. As you add more content, you will see an increase in traffic and backlinks. However, you also need to promote your content and optimize your site to boost your visibility online.
