Forum Posting After Penguin Update

Since penguin algo hits on over optimization and excessive use of same anchor text for link building. Forum signatures will provide us backlink on keywords which are same for all posts.

Will it be harmful?

    I don't the really effect, but maybe you can use other off-pages ways except forum signature to dilute the keywords with other related keywords.

    Yes, if your ONLY link building method is forum posting on the SAME anchortext. No, if you use variation of keywords on other kinds of link building.

    Good old forum posting still works but you have to be much more careful about what you are doing. Use as many anchors as possible and make sure you are doing your promotions in the hight quality forms instead of already spammed forum.

    It won't. Actually, the only time your anchored text signature will take effect is when you post to a thread or create one. Unlike before you can just create a Forum Profile with your anchored text signature and just leave it that way. Now it's all about participation or involving yourself in the community. This is why Guest blogging works it's because you contributed something to spice up a website, a blog comment will work as well for as long as your comments are unique and not a copy paste message or a repeated one.

    To be honest forum posting to get benefit of sigh backlinks are pretty useless after the update of panda/penguin. But it is good way to get targeted traffic.

    Anyway! according to your sigh, you're providing link building services and don't know this? This thread question shows how talented you're in your work.

    It still works but don't go crazy with your anchor text if you are using many forums. Pick the high traffic forums and you will get plenty visits just from your sig file.

    The big advantage of forum links is you can get direct traffic that is interested in your niche compared to article marketing which is more for the seo backlink benefits as it's hard to get direct traffic.

    Make them generic anchor text like click here or something else. It wont harm rather it will make your backlink profile more stronger and will make you more immune to penguin or panda.
