You should implement your keyword in the most natural way you can ... make sure you don't compromise readability for your keyword. Remember make it for people to read not robots.

It is a lot easier to rank for one keyword per page so I would recommend doing that.

    Just my 2 cents

With all the changes going on right now with seo and the big G. It is essential that you diversify not only your keywords but also your anchor text. In the past you could have gotten away with the single keyword method, but things have changed quite a bit.

You need to implement "LSI keywords" (latent semantic indexing...it just means related) in your articles and posts. These can be found using either the google keyword tool or at the bottom page when you make a search query in google. Unfortunately, they have found ways determine if a site is over-optimized and penalized those particular sites.

      A question

We all know that highlighting your keywords (eg: bold, italics, underline) benefit seo or with latest google updates have the potential to penalise the article?

Don't quote me on this but, I don't think that bolding or underlining a specific keyword is not enough to penalize your site. The trick is to make your site look as natural as possible.

The things that we have been taught over the years basically led to a footprint for google to eventually catch on to. I belive that you can include some of those same elements, just not to the same degree as we have done in the past.

Organic integration of keywords is I think one of the best keyword strategies you can implement. SEO rules constantly change and in order for you not get caught up in it, doing it the natural way is your best option.
