Adwords - Great Quality Score but NO Ad Showing

I have setup a new campaign at Adwords for some keywords related to travel nitche.

I have a keyword for which my Quality Score (QS) is 8/10 but still my AD showing is stating 'NO'.

What could be the reasons of my ADs being not showing despite of a great QS? May be the keyword I am targeting is not being searched frequently? Or is there something else I am missing?

My keyword is present in the Title of the Ad Group and it is a broad match.

Go to your adwords account and look at the keywords. You will see a magnifying glass next to them.

Put your mouse over this and it will tell you what is going on.

      Hi intelinside,

There are two likely reasons your ad is not showing.
      1. Little or no searches for the keyword.
      2. Your bid is too low to generate impressions.

There are other possibilities like your daily budget limit being too low or disapproved ads.

I would try increasing your maximum bid and use the AdWords Keyword Tool to verify that there are frequent searches for the exact match of your keyword.

I had this on a number of keyphrases. I suspect it will be caused by low search volumes or keyphrase bids.

A basis representation of the Adwords algorithm = QS x bid

Therefore your QS can be irrelevant if your bid is too low

    Thanks for your feedbacks.

I guess this is more to do with the low search volume as currently it is just 320 in Feb.

I believe I will need to come up with some more keywords to get any sort of traffic.

I normally come up with a very large keyword list to start. See which keywords are worth spending the time to invest in, then focus my efforts on those keywords.

If you are only running a handful of keywords, there is a high chance you will be getting a low search volume, especially if your keywords are long-tail.

    Good Luck

I think everyone has pretty much hit upon it. High quality score by itself doesn't guarantee your success. It's part of the puzzle.
