1 Nov'12: Google's Issued New Algorithm?

Since the penguin update which has made my sites disappear in SERP, suddenly when I checked SERP today, I found out that my site is on the #1 Google's SERP again! Could it be the result of Google's new algorithm? I'm just guessing here:confused:

Has anyone heard about Google's latest algorithm that has been put into effect today (or recently)? If you have, what's the target this time? I mean, what impact does it have, and to what kind of websites?

    It is my understanding that most penalties have a time period in which they will expire, of course if you did not resolve the issues I am sure you will find yourself back at the bottom once again.

      If it is a manual penalty, yes. If it is algorithmic, you are generally screwed until you correct the problem.

      A manual penalty means an actual person working for Google reviewed your site & decided you broke one of their rules.
