Recently I got a news message in my webmaster tool indicating that my website has unnatural links and that's hurting my website ranking. I got little disturbed and have checked out some forums and webmaster center too. After reading so many experiences I could just understand that linking is somewhere fault for my website. But now the problem is how can I be assured about the links which is wrong for me and which one is right.

I started checking my back links got through the webmaster tool. But all in vein because I have no clue how to reject links. I would love to know some experts advice to guide me to get unnatural links be removed.

The quick answer is that you need to remove the links before you can remove the penalty.

The long answer is that its an uphill battle and will take time. You need to prune your links and find which ones are bad. There are tools that do this and then services that will do this and then remove your links. One of them advertises on this message board (linkdelete.com). I have used them on a few websites of mine that received these penalties back in March.

At first I was told to wait it out and Id recover. After watching my money making sites not making anymore money I decided to give them a try. It took several months of linkdelete service, and they removed thousands of links. In the time I was using the service I filed several reconsideration requests. Each time it was denied citing that I still had links that violated their terms of service. Bleh. After several months of removing the links I began to get a lot of the links removed and documentation of the outreach. I followed the details that linkdelete told me to do when I filed.

Thank the lord! My main money maker site was finally approved and my serps increased back to prepenalty rankings. Which is pretty surprising because I would have thought the links that were removed would have killed it, but no. I guess Google just implements a penalty and theres nothing you can do until you fix it.

Its a long uphill battle friend. But good luck. You can recover if you remove links. So either do it yourself (if you have hundreds of hours of free time, lol) or pay someon/service to do it for you.

Here is easy solution. Go to Webmaster tools. Go to Traffic - Links to your site - Under who links most cluck more and you can see Download Latest link button there. Just download and check your recent links. There you can find the spam links easily. Then yo can use Google Disavow Tool to remove them. All the Best.. It worked for me. Hope it works for all. Wait for next refresh and you get your rankings back

unnatural links are artificial links mainly intended to manipulate a page’s ranking. These can include purchased links or links created by scrapers and spammers that attach themselves to your site under the radar and potentially link your site to another in a bad neighborhood of the internet.
