SEO after EMD?
- SEO |
Kindda baffled after the EMD washed most of my sites. Have been using the past month simply trying to figure out where i went wrong with the sites that I lost. And honestly I can´t really find any errors. So I have been trying to look at what I haven´t done.. But Im still somewhat confused on what to do next...
It seems that most of the "conventional" seo has died out overnight and we have to rethink our practices. I mean.. whats the point in starting a new site using an EMD, doing social and web 2.0 backlinking efforts along with tons of videos and unique well written and useful content if SEO as we know it is more harmful than helpful now? Guess im kindda paranoid here but wft is one to do? the oposite of what we have done before?
I get that google now frowns upon micro niche sites with emd´s, and alot of article / web 2.0, blog and forum backlinking.
The big question is then... which way does G wan´t us to go? (other than down the toilet).? Should we completely abbandon EMD´s, keyword links, and article / web 2.0, blog backlinking? And if we do so how the hell are we to rank for the keyword we are targeting? In the sites that was washed i kept a keyword % at around 1.5 to 2 % in the articles. No keywords in the pic alt tags, but in the metatags along with the domian / subdomain. I kept my backlinking at around 15 - 20 % keyword density and the rest were either naked links or some other generic backlink.
I do belive that the sites were relevant, unique and helpful compare to other sites in my niche. But anyway.. they are gone and all i can do is try to learn from the mistakes.. only problem is that I have no clue as to what the mistakes were and G leaves very little clues about that other then the EMD´s didnt really work all that well.
Have you guys got any ideas or clues yet? or is it still to early to say? Guess we can forget all about a rebound of sites lost as it has already been a month.
