Will a change of same & latest version of WordPress theme can affect search engine Rankinks?

Hey i have a wordpress website & want to add new and latest version of same WP theme on my website. will this changing can affect on my search engine ranking ?

      yeah i dun wanna change anything, just gotta update new theme like we changed any plugin or etc so can i do without any SERP threat ?

      Changing wordpress theme could change rankings. For example, if you remove Javascript certain elements of your site-I.E. links will show up above others. Depending on the theme could change the coding. However, I doubt it will change your rankings unless there are coding errors in the wordpress theme.

    It will not affect your rankings at all. I sometimes change my theme site and no problems in search engine rankings

    Theme has a long term impact on SERP's. Your rankings might improve if you replace the theme with improved clean code, design and fast loading speed. On the other hand lazy loading themes might cause a penalty.

      Frakz, i just want to use purchased new updated version of current theme. So, what can i do then?

    Yes, it's possible updating a theme can mess with SERPs.

    It just depends on what the updates are, some are only back end Admin changes, which don't matter to on-page factors.
