This is the Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum but I hardly see any adsense threads lately. I wonder if you people still making money with adsense or all secrets have been shared already and there is nothing new to it.

If you are still making money with adsense, do share the information on hand. Like how much you make and how you get it to work especially after so many google updates.

Dude, there are a million and one posts on here about adsense, just search. But for me personally, I moved my efforts online over toward having my own business. If you rely only on adsense income, you're setting yourself up for failure. You have zero control over what google does, and since they control adsense, if they get pissy and don't like your sites, dooh..here comes the click of a button from big G, and your adsense is bye bye.

Better to have your own business that you control and can make so much more money with. Adsense commissions are pennies, and even if you have to have a ton of good sites that get, not only traffic but people to click on the adsense ads to make any money, you still don't really make much coin. And the upkeep on all your adsense sites for the money you get back, well is not worth my time.

Making money with adsense has never, and never will be,
      associated with CPC.

Adsense has worked, still works, and WILL still work, for
those who have, are now, and will, continue to treat
      it seriously.

      Looking for some guru-idiotic-inspired-keyword-nonsense-
pie-in-the-sky-riches is dumb. Always has been. Always will.

Worrying about CPC is sure sign you are off base. Worrying
about CTR, also is a tip off to the send off.

If you spend the time, making a valuable site that is valuable to
visitors, and you continue to nurture it, concentrate on great
traffic and semi-uniquely presented, if not original content, you
will succeed. No matter what your niche, CPC, or CTR.

Oh but that's work, aint it? Sorry!

As far as running scared of google shutting you down, that's rich.
Maybe you don't know it, but any search engine can deindex you.
Any company can ban you. Any host can shut you down. If you
continue to not try adsense because of the big bad google, then
get off the net. No matter what you try, you are at the mercy
of the powers of the internet.

If your host did not like your site, for any reason, they too, would shut
you down. So? So! So stop doing idiot things and you have no worries.

Adsense has been very profitable for me over the years (still is today) & I could care less about silly things like Alexa ratings & I'm defiantly not a large corp. It's all about targeted traffic.

Running Adsense is basically a traffic supplier for the Adwords guys/gals:

Targeted traffic > Me (Adsense) > Business owners (Adwords)
I generate traffic & trade it for clicks. I also have a few niche traffic sources that are grandfathered in (I created that, it wasn't luck), plus the SERP traffic.

Exactly! I dont know where these guys get such information. I am doing wonderful with Adsense. Its more than half of my income.

You have to work for your traffic. Just building a site and slapping ad sense isn't gonna get you clicks. You need to work your a$$ off to get traffic and I mean targeted traffic. Get that traffic in front of those ads and that will chnage your mind about ad sense not working.

I really pity people with those "fails" but you are good at catching them. This is a new trend. In earlier times people posted thank , what a wonderful thread, informational post sorta things to raise post counts but demoralized by mods now they have to select a random post , rewrite it in their own words and then post.

Adsense has nothing to do with Google updates, well, unless that's the only source of traffic you have, which isn't a good idea. IMO SERPs should be a source of traffic, not the only source. Mix it up when it comes to traffic so you have a safety net.

It doesn't matter what your monetizing with, IM is all about getting targeted traffic. After you get targeted traffic, tweak things to perform better.

I normally make $100 to $150 per month. I origionally had two sites I now have like 7, 5 of them being in higher paying niches but I'm not seeing too much better income. I was getting excited as CPC was rising from like 0.18 to like 0.80 for a few weeks. I started making $14 a day and was getting really excited as previously I was at say $3-$5 per day however all the sudden cpc went down to like 0.08 cents. I'm still getting the same amount of clicks but not making nearly the money I was.

Cannot relay on adsense anymore now a days. It takes ages to set up a website which will have a big number of consistent traffic and good CTR. For newbies, adsense has already become a nightmare to earn money.

Maybe a lotto ticket is a better idea, then you won't have to wait ages, or do any real work.

i am just wondering does adsense work nowadays. No intention that this turning into an heated argument with bullets flying all around. Guys there is really no need to do so. I do see a huge decline in MFA sites. But i think adsense still works with authority sites. I see many big / authority sites still run adsense. So, I guess it is dead if you want to make a quick buck with MFA sites, but if you are in to build an authority site with many useful information, you will thrive.

Hey guys, don't shot me, this is just an observation of what is happening.

CPC is going down. Even Google said as much in their accounts report last month. Every Android device they sells means less income from the Search cash cow. Rofl at their ability to cut their own hands off!

AdSense is usually a terrible thing to put on a niche site, you'll normally make far more with other monetisation methods. It's just that AdSense is easy, other methods require more ACTION.

There are a lot of old threads discussing adsense. They offer a lot of methods. I start this thread to see if adsense is still working after so many updates. I used to have adsense account but was banned. However, before I start over, I wish to know if it is still hot.

I can see that crappy niche sites are almost gone with all the google updates. However, if you treat adsense as a business and put in the effort to develop the content and promote it, I can see that many big websites still use adsense as a viable moneterizing tool.

I'm still making some money from AdSense. I've not seen a monster click for ages though. Maybe that's why Google's last accounts sucked! They must have bled whole businesses dry with CPC costs - it's difficult to see how anyone can make a profit if they have to pay $5+ a click for their traffic.
