My wife (who is a published author) has written some new works and I want to market these for her as ebooks, but I'm not sure of the best way of doing this.

One idea is to build a website designed specifically to sell those books--the home page would introduce the site and list the books for sale. Each listing would be an ecover with brief sales blurb with a link to a sales page.

The other thought is to use a blog (or blogs? one for each book)

So what do you think: website or blog/s?

Thanks

      Hello Alex,

I'd have to agree with the others and vote for using a Wordpress blog.

As your wife's business grows a blog will have the power and flexibility to grow with it.

You could create static pages with info about each book and then use blog posts to promote the business as a whole. You can also create specific posts regarding any news and information about a particular book,i.e, press releases, book signings, tv and radio show appearances, etc.

      All The Best,

      Tony

I will recommend a blog as it is easy to configure, update and add content.

    Alex, tell your wife congrats!!!
you will get plenty of opinions about html or blogs they both are equal....I use html to sell stuff cause I have more control of placement and images and stuff...BUT... thats not why I am commenting.

Like a lot of im'ers I subscribe to a lot of "gurus" to learn things and I just happened to save ryan deiss's recent webinar. There is a section where his side kick brian somebody describes how he sells a lot of ebook with amazon and kendal. there may be some good info in there somewhere for you.

this is the link that i saved THE LINK At the end they get pretty annoying on there sales pitch...but the info seems good. i hope you get something out of it.
