Hi fellow Warriors,

What if you could get the ultimate backlink - a direct PR 9 backlink from the Google.com homepage?

Which of your websites would you link to?

How would you use that single powerful backlink that millions of SEOers around the world are craving?

Well, warriors it can be done. One man has done it, proving beyond a doubt that it's possible.

But it's extremely tough. You will have to go through many difficulties and overcome many life-threatening obstacles. In the end, you will have to pay the ultimate price...

However, if you are determined to get the ultimate backlink, then here is a short case-study on how one man dedicated his life to get one of the most powerful links in the universe...

And how you might possibly be able to get it too if you follow in his footsteps (and if you have some luck on your side).

Are you ready?

--------------------------

Step 1 - Drop Out of College: In order to discover his calling, this man dropped of college. His parents paid a lot to get him in there, but he found it a waste of time. And he dropped out and used his spare time to attend calligraphy classes. If you are in college, you'll need to drop out right now. If you're not in college, you'll need to drop out of whatever you're doing.

Step 2 - Meet a Partner: The next step after he dropped out of whatever he was doing, was to go around and meet a partner by chance. That partner was a computer whiz, and they decided to get together and to sell computers from the garage. You don't necessarily have to meet a partner by chance. You just have to meet a partner. And ideally, he should be a computer whiz and be able to single-handedly create computers. PlentyOfFish.com is a good place to start.

Step 3 - Get Funding: Selling computers isn't cheap stuff. At this point, the two partners got some funding. You'll need to get some funding too in order to run your computer selling venture. Try Kickstarter.com. There are a lot of people there just waiting to fund the next project. It won't be easy, you'll go through a lot of tough times. But just stick to it! You'll get that Google.com homepage backlink sooner than you think...

Step 4 - Hire a CEO: Next, you'll need to hire a CEO. Not just any CEO though. You'll need to hire a CEO that is somewhat power hungry in the hopes that he'll create a power struggle in your newly created company and seize control. Craigslist.com has a good selection of possible candidates. It's simple. After that you just leave the company, and start a new one. That's what he did...

Step 5 - Create Another Computer Company: The man found that after he left his old company, the burden of success was lifted off his shoulders and he was free to be creative once more. If you do it right, this is what should happen to you. You should feel free and even more creative with your new company, and do well selling your new designs of computers.

Step 6 - Buy a Graphics Company: Once you have enough profit from selling your new design of computers, use your funds to purchase a large graphics company. Or at least the graphics division of a large company. And he used the graphics company to produce stunning films that brought fame and critical acclaim. If you don't know how to produce a good enough script for your films, you can outsource. Odesk.com and elance.com have a lot of people who you can hire for cheap. You don't even have to leave your house.

Step 7 - Get Your New Company Bought By The Old One: This part might be a bit tricky, but he got the formula right. You need your old company, to want to buy your new company. Get back into your old company, struggle for power once more and come out at the top as the new CEO. Bring over the technology, put on your thinking cap, and start developing new stuff. You can't just look for keywords with people searching for them and harvest the demand. Won't do...

Step 8 - Change the World: Create new stuff, and create demand for that new stuff and change the world. That's how he did it. He introduced the iMac, iPhone, the iPad, and many other revolutions in modern technology, making a name for himself among the people of the new digital world. Since he already invented the things above, it won't do to have you copy them. The effect just won't be the same. You'll need to create something new and inspirational that will change the world too...

Step 9 - Die the Death: Finally, he died a noble death. And you will need to die one too if you hope for your Google.com homepage backlink. This is the final price you will need to pay to become one of the ultimate references in SEO legend...

That man was Steve Jobs...

Steve Jobs was the ultimate SEOer. We're not just talking about an SEO professional. He was way beyond the realm of experts and professionals. He was an SEO legend...

He didn't just settle for PR 7 or PR 8 backlinks. Those were just too easy...

Create a PR 6 website in one or two days? Bah! Not even a challenge to gain a second of his interest...

He dedicated his whole life towards getting a direct PR 9 backlink on the Google homepage. And he earned billions in the process.

Was it worth it though?

Only time will tell...

R.I.P. Steve Jobs...

You are an inspiration to SEOers everywhere...

      More nonsense self promotion....

What does Steve Jobs have to do with SEO?

Besides, maybe, just maybe you did not know where the link
actually linked to...it linked to apple.com.

Apple does not need SEO, nor a link from google.

Besides, the link was not a permanent link, so....it ended
      over a year ago....(!)

Just another thread as a disguise for self promotion.

I had the privilege of meeting Steve Jobs a number of times during the 80s. Amazing man, full of charisma and drive. He could make you dream impossible dreams.

Thanks for a well written article even if it has nothing to do with SEO.

Fairly interesting reading, something that is a bit different to the usual SEO/IM chat.

I'm not a Jobs fan, or an apple fan (in fact I'm anti-apple) but he does spark a lot of interesting discussions.
