So ye I've seen a lot of videos about google search and getting ranked and what not. But I've never seen anything about using Bing search.. Now i don't know if you can even use bing and maybe that's why i haven't seen anything on the Warrior Forum about this.
But here is my thought (if you can use bing). Wouldn't it be better to use bing, since it's low competition?
I really have no idea about this. Just scratching my head about this subject.

I think competition doesn't depend on which search you are using.
    It's just G domination.
However it would be nice if G will get some real competition from Bind or any other engine.

By the way I found that Market Samurai is using BIND for evaluation of competition.
    Probably for a reason.

Don't scratch your head, "Google owns more than 80% search marketing share "
I don't think you need more explain

You can't "choose" to use bing. That's like saying you are only going to breathe certain oxygen molecules.

When people talk of shmoozing google, they really mean, in a round about way, shmoozing
    any and all search engines.

Do you think bing ignores sites on the web?

In order for you to "choose" bing, you would have to request a deindex and
noindex for google. But that would be lunacy, now wouldn't it?

This is not the first thread on "choosing" bing, and it makes no sense.

Less competition? Like I said, does bing ignore the web? You don't think
that if I do basic SEO structure on a site, that bing is somehow supposed
to ignore it and never find it?

Anything published on the web is fair game for any search engine. Just
because people talk more about google does not mean bing is somehow
    ignoring their sites.

In fact, I'd argue the more people do good stuff that google preaches,
the more chance they have for bing as well.

And that is probably why nobody mentions bing...they don't have to.

It is real that Google dominates more than 80% search marketing share and is is obvious that such kind of domination is just because of providing the best results for the users. And if you are getting the "best" results from Google then why are you thinking to choose another one.

I get plenty of traffic from Yahoo and Bing. I don't know what they like, but they do prefer larger niche sites (150 pages is the sweet spot).

Why do people say Google is the "best" search engine anyway? Search for my product's name and you don't even see my site in the top 10 now. This is a legitimate software tool that's been around for 7 years and had 1000's of downloads. What nonsense is this?

Google is the best search engine as almost 80% of the world using google than bing. Google search results is much more accurate as they has page rank, and a lot of factors on ranking pages.

I'm not one to say that one search engine is best over another. That's subjective anyway and for this kind of product, really irrelevant since they provide you with results (plural), not just one. This is unlike any other type of product or service out there. Also, they are free to use so no reason you can't use both and get even more results. But nobody I know uses both at the same time.

The reason there's emphasis on Google is because it's perceived as the best because so many people use it more than any other search engine. Call it good marketing or a popularity contest. It's ingrained in people's minds like McDonalds or Coke. So what do you think SEOers will concentrate on when Google is the choice of 80% of the population? But it doesn't matter really. As Paul said, do it well for Google (or Bing) and chances are other engines will agree and you will do well in all of them.
