FRUSTRATED! How come I don't show in Google Alerts?

I feel I've been doing everything right in terms of blogging. I use keywords in the title, don't over stuff my content, and blog with new material as well as curating content from other blogs 3-4 times a week. I also update FB, twitter and LinkedIn through Hootesuite every time a new post is created.

However when I set up Google alerts even with keywords I use in the titles of my post I still don't show up (even after many days). I see other mediocre blogs showing up that don't post much at all and are of a much lower quality. This is for both competitive and non-competitive keywords.

What am I doing wrong??

    I don't think it's your fault, Tazmania.

Google Alerts can be really inconsistent at times. They don't show all results that they find from my experience, only some of them.

So the posts that are of lower quality that you see in the results are probably just randomly picked posts.

Google Alerts isn't what it used to be...
