Has anyone seen SEO benefit using only automated submission softwares?

I have just completed a group of niche sites. Now planning to do some SEO and backlinking.

My strategy for each site is :

1. Create videos and submit to top video sharing sites.
2. Web 2.0 properties. Hubpages/squidoo and article directories, blogspot etc.
3. Bookmark web2.0 in other bookmark websites
4. Directory submission.

My question is- is it better to hire someone to do it manually or automated tools like Magic Submitter will do a decent job?

Is here anyone who ve used these tools in isolation and seen benefits like increased traffic and page rank?

If they know how to use it in a way that it looks natural to G then it will work. But I think you are best hiring someone who knows how to use it properly.

That may well be true, but perhaps not quite in the way that you intended.

It's a potentially dangerous question, because even if there are people here who have done that successfully, it doesn't mean that anyone can do it now, after the Penguin update. And people who try may get their sites heavily penalized by Google.

This was, after all, part of the main, specific purpose and function and outcome of the Penguin update: to penalize sites whose owners have used automated submission software, because it's "webspam".

Google has said this openly, and has openly told many Warriors that that's the reason their sites have been penalized.

The thread should be here: Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum (sorry, I was typing while Suzanne posted).

It's better to do it manually to avoid being penalized by Google's Penguin/Panda update and also because the updates I would probably not even think of mass submitting to article directories.

Also would be looking to create more unique content (or have someone rewrite existing articles to possibly save $$$) as much as possible if I want to submit to several different web 2.0s (don't want dupe content).

Just my opinion. See what works for you, but keep these things in mind so that you don't get banned by big G.

Why waste time with automation when there are links worth more than 1000 of links created using those automated tools, if you understand what i mean,

Many seo companies providing those type of backlinks but they got bad results also. Google never consider Artificial backlinks. Google want natural backlinks with organic ways.

Don't try to create backlinks over software. Its harmful for your website.

    Yes.

It's not about automation or what tools you are using, its how you are using them. Plain and simple automation works, it's perfect in combination with manual work and original content. It's only dangerous to your site when you don't use it correctly.. Myself and many, many others are still ranking sites via automation because we're smart about how it's done.

Automation has just such a bed rep, but it's only because people want to associate bad websites with bad link habits, it will never work out for them. But for everyone else, it's a resource to save time. To directly say automation will get your site downed by the next updates just isn't true. There's plenty of things you can do with automation that appear natural, you're just speeding up the process. Don't go overboard and blast your site with links, use automation to help build HQ links, not massive #'s of them.
